I am so excited to officially announce that I will be taking part in the SLOcally Made creative market! What is SLOcally Made? 14 lady makers have come together to tell the story of why shopping local is important to local artists, our community, and our economy. This collective of artists is taking traditional trades (leatherwork, weaving, painting, metalsmithing, authorship, sewing, design, and more) and adding a contemporary flare to launch a creative market and experiential space. We are also partnering with local marketing creatives to write, film, photograph, print, email, and share on social media and more, making this a true community effort.

SLOcally Made will open its doors beginning on December 17th in the old Muzio Store location on Monterey Street in downtown San Luis Obispo. Monterey Street was part of the original business section of San Luis Obispo. Even before it was a street, it was the "road to Monterey" with a few adobe structures scattered along the route across from the mission and up to Monterey.

Founded in 1888, The Muzio Store  moved to a nearby location on February 1, 1913 and was the last survivor of the business enterprises that now line the block. With the same quaint charm and preserved aesthetic, we are excited to bring new life to the building and honor the entrepreneurs that have also supported local business before us.

In honor of the Muzio's space and our creative community, you are invited to join us for a celebratory toast, eats, and sweets on December 20th, 2017 at 7:00pm. I hope to see you there!
